Russian group Clever Logistics opens first West European branch office in Munich

Niggl: “Russian investors benefit from Bavaria as a top business location”

MUNICH The Moscow-based Russian company Clever Logistics has founded its first West European branch office in Munich. Clever Logistics offers services in the field of transport, customs clearance and logistics. Its new Munich office will follow up and advise German-speaking customers with their export activities to Russia.

Dr. Johann Niggl, Head of Invest in Bavaria, the Business Promotion Agency of the State of Bavaria, very much appreciates the decision taken by Clever Logistics GmbH: “Clever Logistics GmbH is an enrichment for the business location of Bavaria. I warmly welcome the firm to Bavaria and wish it a good start. This is where the long tradition of very intensive foreign trade relations between Bavaria and Russia comes to bear, and many Bavarian producers and wholesalers will be able to benefit from the services provided by the company.”

Liudmila Ignatova, managing director of the Clever Logistics group, gave the following reasons for picking this location: “Choosing Munich as the site for our branch office was a strategic decision for the future. The Bavarian capital is the ideal place for consistently extending the presence of Clever Logistics in Southern Germany and the neighbouring countries of Austria and Switzerland and for winning new customers from the region.”

Since it was formed in 2009, Clever Logistics has developed into one of the leading providers of logistics services in the field of customs clearance and freight forwarding in the Russian market. With a staff of some 30 employees in Russia, the company has branch offices at Sheremetyevo Airport, as well as in Kaluga, Smolensk and Vladivostok.
